Advanced Registry Tracer 2.1 is the latest version of this shareware utility developed by ElcomSoft Co. Ltd. It has been specially designed to help us analyzing the changes made to our Windows Registry. We can download the trial version available from the developer’s website, and evaluate it for a 30-days period, after installation. From the Icon Bar at the Main Window, we can start performing a Registry Scan, Compare, Find Export, and Import. The program makes snapshots of the registry keys at different times. We can see the database where the snapshot are saved, and compare between the two different snapshots and see if there is anything new, modified or deletes in the list of data and keys. This utility is very useful for helping us detecting what went wrong when a given program crashed, stopped working, or did unusual and funny things, like showing commercial add windows, and more unwanted issues. We can compare our Whole registry or just a key of registry. We can also go a level up, switch between same keys in different snapshots, or switch between same keys of two defined nodes. It is possible to add filters, insert selected key to filter, bookmarks, expand marked keys, etc. It runs under Windows 95/ 95 / 98 / Me/ NT 4.0/ 2000 and XP operating systems.
